Who is responsible

HomeViewer Properties (Pty) Ltd (“HomeViewer”, “we” or “us”) operates this website. For questions about this policy or a request concerning your information, email admin@homeviewer.co.za.

HOMS has a separate privacy policy for its operational software and website.

Information we collect

• Enquiries and consultations: your name, contact details, organisation, location and the information you choose to give us about your project.
• Accounts: account identifiers, contact details and information needed to sign in and use client features.
• Orders: products selected, billing and delivery details, payment status and transaction references. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider.
• Support and website use: messages you send us and technical information needed to run and protect the site, such as browser, device, session and error information.

Only provide another person's information if you are authorised to do so.

Why we use it

We use personal information to answer enquiries, arrange consultations, provide quotations, manage accounts, process and deliver orders, provide services and support, secure the website, keep business records and meet applicable legal obligations. We may contact you about an enquiry or service you requested. Any optional marketing communication will be handled under applicable law and your choices.

Who receives it

We share information only where needed to provide or protect our services, or where required by law. This can include our website and account infrastructure providers, payment provider Paystack, delivery providers such as The Courier Guy, and professional service providers. Each receives information relevant to its task. We do not sell personal information.

Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to use providers and arrangements that protect the information in line with applicable law.

Cookies and browser storage

The website uses browser storage and similar technologies needed for features such as sign-in, session continuity and shopping cart state. You can control browser storage through your browser settings, although disabling it may prevent some features from working.

Security and retention

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the requested service, or to meet legal and legitimate business record requirements. We then delete or de-identify it where appropriate.

You may ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal information, request access or correction, object to processing where the law allows, or ask for deletion where applicable. Email admin@homeviewer.co.za with enough detail for us to identify your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also complain to South Africa's Information Regulator.
